To look and to look, 2006-on going

Archival inkjet print on Hahnemühle paper
Variable dimensions

To look and to look examines the qualities of change in landscape. The material includes drawings, animations and photographs that came about as a result of a yearlong project developed during 2006 and 2007 inside The Inner Circle of The Regent’s Park in London. The images reveal natural transformation caused by seasonal changes, weather conditions and human intervention. They also reflect the multiples variables implied in the process of perceiving our environment, playing with tools of both analytical and emotional representation. The circular graphs are mathematical charts based on photographs taken in the same position during one year, translating changes in the chromatic-proportions of the original scene.

Project developed together with Jose Antonio Moujadami and the support of Ministerio de Cultura, Spain, and The Regent’s Park, London, UK.
